EMERGENCY services including police and medics attended an incident in Chadwell St Mary late this evening (Wednesday, 26 April).

It was reported that a pedestrian had been in a collision with a vehicle at the junction between Brentwood Road, Chadwell Hill, Linford Road and River View,

The road was closed while investigations progressed

A statement from the East of England ambulance Serviuce says: "Two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance officer vehicle and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Brentwood Road, Chadwell St Mary shortly after 9pm last night (26 April).

"One man was transported by road ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in a serious condition."
