ESSEX Police have confirmed the non-suspicious death of a person following an incident at a borough shop.

It happened at the Co-op on the Sorrells in Corringham on Saturday (7 December) which prompted some local speculation when medical teams and police attended to assist.

A statement from the force said: "This appears to be someone who has had a medical episode and then subsequently died.

"There is no indication of an assault or anything criminal-related, just a sad medical incident."
