Inquest opens into crash death

AN inquest has been opened into the death of a Thurrock woman who was killed in a crash near Horndon on the Hill before Christmas.

The accident happened on 17 December on the B1007 between Horndon on the Hill and Stanford-le-Hope.

Keira Grover, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics shortly after their arrival at 9.30pm.

Ms Grover, who lived in East Tilbury, was the only victim to sustain serious injuries.

The road was closed for several hours in the wake of the accident. The inquest into Ms Grover's death was opened at Essex Coroner's Court in Chelmsford today (Friday, January 7).
