It's a celebration at the Dolls House

By Neil Speight 15th Sep 2020

TWO sisters-in-law are about to celebrate two years in the Doll's House!

It's not a punishment but a business success story and Rachel Nightingill, 27, and Jodi Nightingill, 33, are delighted to share their celebration of two years in business with The Dolls House at 76 Woodbrooke Way, Corringham, which opened its doors for the first time on 22 September 2018.

Rachel, a highly experienced make-up artist and hair extension specialist and Jodie, a registered nurse, combined their services to create a one stop shop for beauty.

And every Tuesday and Thursday the beauty lounge is converted to a skin care clinic, led by expert celebrity beauty therapist, Melissa.

The salon is the latest adventure in a career in the make-up and beauty industry for Rachel, who studied at the multi-award winning Delmar Academy at the Ealing Film Studios.

During her time as a student before graduating in 2012 she worked on a number of high profile film and TV series, meeting and working with stars including Jason Statham and Gok Wan. She went on to hone her skills with the Mac Cosmetics company and still works professionally in the film and fashion industry.

Jodi trained and graduated as a nurse specializing in blood cancer treatments and still works at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsfield. She is a registered nurse prescriber specialising in facial aesthetics.

The two combined their skills, enthusiasm and passions to launch the Doll's House, bringing a wide range of make-up, beauty and health treatments to Corringham where other trained staff are also on hand to offer services including special occasion make up, special effects make up, hair extensions, eyelash extensions and semi-permanent make up including medical micropigmentation blowdries.

Jodie added: "Our clinic room is licensed and regulated by Thurrock Council - we worked very hard with Environmental Health Officers to ensure our entire beauty lounge is of the highest standard."

Jodie and Rachel also like to donate to various charities and have in the past donated to NAS Thurrock (a charity for Children with Autism) and other local good causes as well as donating prizes for events including local school fetes.
