AN Orsett family have been celebrating today (Saturday) after the return of a happy wanderer!

For the past week posters have appeared across the village following the disappearance of Wendy Roberts' much-loved cat Georgie.

Villagers joined in the search for him and though there were reported sightings everyone was fearing the worst until Wendy was able to announce this morning: "One happy Mummy

"I cannot thank everyone in Orsett enough for all their help in sharing the post and letting me know you have seen him around!

"Georgie came back in the window at 1am this morning meowing and starving! I am so happy is back and safe and sound after seven days and grounded for a lot longer!"
