The Rotary Club of Mar Dyke Valley will once again host the Thurrock Cycle Marathon which is based on and starts from Thurrock Civic Hall in Blackshots Lane starting 9.30am on Sunday, 4 June.

There are rides of seven and 21 miles (although many do 2 laps to make 42 miles) with support facilities, emergency assistance and refreshment stops.

Entry fee is £10 per cyclist payable online or on the day.

Entry online or registration packs are available from the Thurrock Cycle Marathon website. Entry is also available on the day at the event location.

The 21 / 42 mile route can be viedwed here:  https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39485309 and the seven mile route is a reduced loop via Orsett

Over the years the event has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local good causes. Riders can get sponsored and raise funds for their own charities (sponsorhip form downloadable here) and the club will also share out the money raised from entry fees and monies donated directly to it.
