THANKS have been expressed to a Thurrock charity supporter who took her good cause to work and raised more than £1,300.

Laura Mullooly is a volunteer helping Thurrock branch of Re-engage, which supports elderly, lonely or vulnerable people by organising social events for them.

Laura recently organised a bake sale at her London-based office and thanks to her hard work and enterprise and the generosity of the staff at TP ICAP, Re-engage Thurrock has received a £1,340 donation.

Regional organiser for Re-engage, Loraine Coleman, said: "We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who supported this wonderful fundraiser, whether through generous donations or by providing delicious homemade baked goods.

"Your kindness and generosity will go such a long way in helping us continue to alleviate loneliness, improve wellbeing, and strengthen community connections for older people across our local community.
