REGIONAL shopping and leisure venue intu Lakeside is planning to make this week's Leap Year a very special event that will go with a zip.

They are inviting visitors to celebrate Saturday, 29 February with them.

From 12pm-6pm on Saturday 29 February there will be a whole host of fun and entertainment here to celebrate Leap Year in The Quay and throughout the mall.

There will be roaming acts including, mirror men, kangaroo stilt jumpers, acrobatic tumblers and balloon stilt walkers who will be roaming around the mall and The Quay. Staff will also be handing out yummy treats including jelly beans and chocolate bars throughout the day!

And there will be a human one arm bandit giving you the opportunity to win prizes located outside House of Fraser and performances from Parkour Dancers between 12 noon and 5pm located in The Atrium.

Plus, don't miss out on the chance to hop on a free zip wire located in The Quay. The zipwire will be here from Friday 28 February - Sunday 1 March 12 noon to 6pm.

Minimum weight to ride the zip wire is 44lbs and maximum weight is 250lbs. Minimum height is 40inches.
