WOULD you know what to do if a baby stopped breathing?

If that's the case you could find out more - an possibly one day save a life - by attending a free course at one of three leisure centres in the borough.

Impulse Leisure Centres at Belhus Park, Blackshots and Corringham will be hosting the workshops later this month and in March.

The workshops are organised and run by The Royal Life Saving Society and aim to teach basic emergency skills to anyone who cares for a baby.

You will learn:
  • Infant Life Support (CPR)
  • Infant choking (diagnosis and treatment)
  • Infant drowning (diagnosis and treatment)

The venues and dates are:

Belhus Park: Thursday 27 February and Thursday, 26 March

Corringham: Monday, 24 February and Tuesday, 24 March

Blackshots: Wedesday, 26 February and Tuesday 31 March.

The workshops will run from 7pm to 9pm.
