Right on cue: Life-saving fundraiser coming to conclusion at the Traitor's Gate

IT'S set to be a memorable day that the Traitor's Gate pub in Grays where the local community has been working together to raise funds for a public-access defibrillator, which will be mounted at the venue on the Broadway, Little Thurrock.
A defibrillator is a life-saving medical device that delivers an electric shock to the heart when someone experiences sudden cardiac arrest. Its purpose is to help restore a normal heart rhythm. Using a defibrillator quickly—before paramedics arrive—can dramatically improve the chances of survival in those critical first few minutes.
Regulars at the Traitor's Gate, particularly those who play in the club's pool teams, have been running a draw with a multitude of prizes, many donated by local businesses and organisations.

Tickets are on sale until this evening (Tuesday, 26 August), when the draw will be made. A welcome is extended to local people to pop in and enjoy the fun on what promises to be a great evening. The draw is expected to be made around 9pm.
Yesterday Nub News popped into the Traitor's Gate and met landlady Helen Louise Megran and pool teams organiser Dave, who told us all about the event draw and why they believe it is important to support the local community.
