FOR many, the summer holidays mean taking your foot of the pedal and enjoying some down time but for pupils from Thurrock and Romford-based TipToe Stage School, it's been the opposite!

In July, some of the school pupils represented the UK in finals of the 2024 Dance World Cup held in Prague.

Their first ever, William Faria (11) soloist gained two solos to the final to be placed eighth in the World with his Acro and Lyrical solos.

Reed Cooke (10), Lillie-Ella Morris (13) and Mollie Griffin (12) gained third place in world with their group dance.

After Prague, the school then took 40 pupils (along with lots of supportive parents and families) to Disneyland Paris because they had been invited to perform in Disney's Magic Kingdom.

TipToe Co-Principal, Elena Carter - Watts said: "We're just coming down from a very busy few weeks and what an honour for TipToe to represent the country in the World Cup finals against performers from across the globe.

"And seeing them taking part in the opening ceremony parade with the England flags being proudly waved was a real moment for all of us at TipToe. We couldn't be prouder of them.

"Disney was also magical for us as we were one of the first ever UK theatre schools to perform there over 20 years ago, and to be continually invited back highlights the hardworking and committed pupils we have.

Principal Julie Carter commented: "We told them the most important thing was to have fun and enjoy every single moment. We are beyond thrilled with everyone's success."

TipToe offer classes in all genres (by a fully qualified and DBS checked team), for all ages and all abilities. So, if you're interested in finding out more, visit www.tiptoestageschool.com

Offering a free taster lesson, pupils are free to take as many or as few classes as they wish.

The leadership team know that some people love doing everything and some purely come for the classes. Everyone is welcome!
