Man tracked down, arrested and charged after seven women were subject to indecent exposure

By Nub News Reporter   7th Dec 2025

A MAN has been charged with seven counts of indecent exposure following a detailed investigation into incidents in Chafford Hundred.

In October, Thurrock Nub News reported on the incidents and an appeal by police after a man exposed himself to women in the area.

As the Grays CID investigation progressed, it was established seven such incidents had happened between 18 and 19 October.

Police say that, thanks to continued enquiries and the help of the public, an arrest had been made.

Charges have since been secured against Michael Sode, 37, of Drake Road, Chafford Hundred.

He is next due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 14 January.

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Blakesley said: "I hope this reassures the public and those who have reported incidents to us that we've taken this really seriously.

"I would like to thank those who came forward to provide information and help us progress our investigation."
