Man arrested and charged with GBH and having knife after Grays incident

A MAN has been charged with GBH and possession of a knife after an incident in Grays.

Thurrock Nub News reported on a police appeal for information in the aftermath of the incident.

In an update police say: "We responded to reports of a fight in Hampden Road shortly after 2.20pm on Friday, 28 February.

"A man was found with injuries to his shoulder and taken to hospital for treatment.

"Officers began enquiries into the incident and traced a suspect to an address in Romford and made an arrest.

"Shondell Pemberton, 35, of Abbs Cross Lane, Hornchurch has been charged with GBH with intent and possession of a knife or sharp pointed article in a public place.

"He is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on Monday, 3 March."
