Man arrested and set to face court following three store ram raids

A TILBURY man has been arrested, held in custody and will face a court tomorrow in connection with three ram raid attacks on stores in Thurrock.

In the early hours of both Thursday and Friday last week Linford Food and Wine in Linford, Orsett Stores and the Moylers convenience store in Tilbury were ram-raided.

Significant damage was done to all the shop fronts.

Mitchell Buckley, 33, of Feenan Highway, Tilbury will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday, 21 March) to face the following charges: two counts of possession a Class A drug with intent to supply; possession of a weapon for the discharge of noxious liquid or gas; and possession of prohibited ammunition.

Buckley will also face a charge of conspiracy to commit burglary.

The charge relates to incidents alleged to have taken place at the three stores.

Buckley has been remanded in custody ahead of his appearance tomorrow.
