Man brought to safety and taken to hospital in incident close to seawall at East Tilbury

EMERGENCY services, including police, ambulance and fire & rescue officers - together with the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance were in attendance at at incident in East Tilbury this afternoon.

The alert was raised around 1pm today (Saturday 24 April) when the services were called to concerns for the welfare of a man who had entered water close to Trent on the seawall side of the village.

The man was brought to safety and taken to hospital for assessment.
