Man charged after crash at Chadwell St Mary

A MAN is due to appear in court in March in connection with a collision in Grays where one person was seriously injured.

Two cars – a Mazda 3TS and a Ford Focus - were in collision in Brentwood Road at around 5.45pm on 28 January. The driver of the Focus sustained serious injuries.

A 27 year-old man was arrested. Matthew Foley, of Sleepers Farm Road, Grays has now been charged with careless driving, driving without insurance, failing to provide a specimen, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, and failing to report a collision.

He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates' Court on 23 March.
