Man due in court over Vietnamese deaths

A MAN from Northern Ireland has been summonsed to appear at court tomorrow (Wednesday, 17 March) in connection with Essex Police's investigation into the deaths of 39 Vietnamese men, women, and children whose bodies were discovered in Thurrock.

Caolan Gormley, 23, of Kedew Road in Caledon, County Tyrone, will answer a charge of conspiracy to assist illegal immigration.

The bodies of 39 people were found in a refrigerated lorry container at the Waterglade Industrial Park in West Thurrock.
