Man from Grays, 33, was victim in fatal early hours crash

A THURROCK man has been named as the victim of a fatal car crash yesterday.

It happened in the early hours of Thursday 4 June on the A127 after a Vauxhall Astra was in collision with a lorry near to the roundabout interchange with the A128.

The man who died was Colin Carle, aged 33, from Grays.

The incident happened at around 2am on the eastbound carriageway on the approach to the roundabout slip road.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and police officers closed the road while paramedics treated those injured.

An air ambulance was also dispatched to the scene. Despite the best efforts of all involved, Mr Carle died at the scene.

A second man was rushed to hospital for further care.

Investigations into the collision are continuing and police have appealed for any witnesses or anyone who has dash cam footage or CCTV to contact them if they have not done so already.
