Man left with serious injuries after Grays assault: Two arrested

TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following an incident in Grays.

Police were called just before 6.30pm yesterday (Monday, 20 April) to reports of an altercation between a number of men, who are believed to be known to one another.

Investigating officers understand that the assault may have started in Manor Road before moving into Grove Road.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and hands.

A 34-year-old local man and a 35-year-old from Tilbury remain in custody for questioning.

Police enquiries are ongoing.
