Man to face trial on numerous charges relating to three year catalogue of offences in Corringham

A MAN accused of a three-year long series of assaults, threats and criminal behaviour in Corringham has been brought back to Essex

Jamie Williams has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, stalking, coercive and controlling behaviour, intentional strangulation, intentional suffocation, making threats to kill, theft and two counts of criminal damage.

The offences were reported to have taken place between 2023 and 2026 in Corringham.

The 25-year-old, of Langstone Road in Portsmouth, was located in the south coast city on 17 May before being brought to Essex for interview, and appeared at Basildon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 19 May.

He has been released on bail and will now appear at Basildon Crown Court in the week commencing Monday, 15 June.
