THURROCK mayor Cllr Terry Piccolo joined celebrations to mark the 90th Anniversary of Ockendon-based H W Wilson becoming a Limited Company in 1930. The Mayor helped H W Wilson Managing Director Peter Wiffen cut a special anniversary cake as employees past and present gathered for breakfast at the Thurrock Garden Centre.

To mark its commitment to preserving the environment, and wanting to create an important legacy from its anniversary, H W Wilson has announced its '90 trees for 90 years' initiative as part of a plan that will continue until its Centenary in 2030.

The company is arranging for 90 trees to be planted in 2020. This will continue the company's sustainability efforts and offset its carbon footprint.
