THURROCK mayor Sue Little visited Horndon on the Hill Primary School this afternoon (Thursday, 16 May) to deliver a surprise for pupils.

Mrs Little, accompanied by her consort and husband Brian, spoke with pupils and then took part in an assembly.

She presented the school with £250 raised in her charity fund. It will be used to maintain the school's eco-garden.

It's been a busy week for the school which is preparing to host its May Fair on Saturday.
