FOR the second morning running there is considerable traffic disruption at the Dartford Crossing. 

Motorists face some delays on the M25 heading from Kent into Essex after an earlier accident on the major route. 

The accident was on the anti-clockwise carriageway at J1a A206 for the Dartford Tunnel.

There was a short closure in the left-hand tunnel while the accident was dealt with. It has, however, resulted in some queuing traffic in the vicinity of the incident.

Yesterday (Monday, 21 October) are there were long delays on the M25 at the Tunnel. Two lanes were closed and there were long delays as motorists queued heading anti-clockwise.

The taller right-hand tunnel needed resurfacing after a spillage from a maintenance vehicle during overnight works. Motorists were diverted through the left-hand tunnel.
