MORE than 50 local businesses and traders have already taken advantage of a free offer by Thurrock Nub News to promote their businesses on the website.

Thurrock News is one of the country's fastest growing news websites, already fast approaching 750,000 page views since out launch in November last year and we our pages were viewed more than 200,000 times in April alone.

As a way to support local businesses in these tough times we have introduced a free local listings service, detailing what services and businesses are available locally.

The move has been welcomed by those who have signed up, bridging a wide variety of services, from takeaway restaurants to electricians, from carpenters to seafood sellers and clockmakers to bouncy castle suppliers.

Thurrock Nub News editor Neil Speight says: "I'm delighted to have got more than 50 on board but we welcome many more. We want Thurrock Nub News to become the go-to place for all local information.

"These are tough trading times and we are doing our little bit to help local firms by getting their names out there to a local public who are lapping up our highly focused news service and reflections of all matters that are affecting this great Thurrock community."

If you would like to sign up your business, just click on the Local Listing button on the page and follow the directions from the Nub It button. We will check your details and your listing will be up live as soon as possible after submission and we will also be promoting the business who sign up on our social media platforms and through a series of profiles and up and coming businesses in the borough.
