MP gives impetus to official launch of local campaign

THURROCK'S Labour group officially launched its campaign for the May 2023 local council elections at an event in South Ockendon this morning (Saturday, 25 Marech).

Sir Stephen Timms, MP for East Ham, visited the borough with colleagues from his constituency to rally local supporters and then take part in a canvassing event in the local area.

Jen Craft, Thurrock Labour's parliamentary candidate, and borough council group leader Cllr John Kent welcomed Mr Timms at the meeting at Deveron Gardens Community Centre.
