By Neil Speight 10th Feb 2020

ESSEX police have launched an investigation and appealed for information after nails were strewn across a number of borough roundabouts yesterday (Sunday, 10 February).

Officers took to social media to slam the culprits last night and today the force appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

A statement says: "We were called to reports of nails found on roundabouts in Howard Road, Chafford Hundred shortly before 8pm on Sunday 9 February.

"We attended and removed the nails.

If you have any information about how the nails came to be on the roundabouts please call us on 101 quoting incident 1350 of 9 February or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
