NAMES of three long-established Thurrock schools, recently taken over by the Mossbourne Federation educational trust, appear about to be changed.

Thurrock Nub News undersstands the changes are as follows:-

Corringham Primary will be known as Mossbourne Herd Lane, Gable Hall will be Mossbourne Fobbing Academy and Hassenbrook will become Mossbourne Portside Academy.

The Federation has been asked when these name changes will be implemented.

It is not known if the changes will include the school logos, though the Mossbourne CEO Peter Hughes has previously told parents the Federation wishes to introduce a new, Mossbourne-based uniform and all children at each school will have to wear it. Once imposed, the existing uniform will not be allowed.

The Federation has been asked to comment.
