A NEW drive-through and east-in restaurant will open in Thurrock tomorrow (Friday, 10 December.

Thurrock Nub News popped along to get a sneak preview of what's on offer at 'Tim Hortons' on the site of the former Pizza Hut at the Lakeside Retail park.

The restaurant chain, which was created in Canada in 1964 by National Ice Hockey League legend Tim Horton and became a big success because of its coffee and donuts selections – along a range of main courses, including differing breakfast options.

The chain opened its first UK outlet in Glasgow 2017 and is rapidly growing, the new Thurrock site will be its 38th on our shores.

"Despite challenging times for the sector, our drive-thru and flagship locations have delivered exceptional performance and our model is proving to be well attuned to the evolving needs of customers at this time," said chief commercial officer Kevin Hydes told Nub News.

The new restaurant and drive-through will be open from 7am tomorrow.
