RESIDENTS in Stanford-le-Hope and Corringham, plus HGV drivers heading for DP World London Gateway Port and Logistics Park can expect disruption for two weeks next month as Thurrock Council installs a new average speedcheck system.

It will operate from the A13 junction to the Sorrells roundabout and the work will involve 24 hour lane closures on both carriageways from Monday, 2 March to Saturday, 14 March.

The council says: "Throughout the duration of the works there may be some disruption, and delays will be kept to a minimum where possible.

"The highways team will be attending the works site on a regular basis in case of any issues that may arise throughout the construction phase."
