Officers bid to keep a lid on ASB

OFFICERS from Essex Police were out and about across Thurrock last night in effort to prevent a repeat of previous years' problems with Halloween.

They had a presence in areas which have previously had problems, most notably around Chafford Hundred rail station and Lakeside.

A police spokesperson said: "Our officers were there to prevent Halloween-related anti-social behaviour. It was very much preventative, following issues previously."
