THURROCK Council planning councillors are being recommended to reject a bid for ten new homes to be build on Sandown Road near Orsett.

The application was first brought before the committee in March but was deferred for a site visit.

Members visited the site on 29 July and will debate the matter when they meet on Thursday (13 August).

The scheme has been opposed by a number of residents in the area who feel it will be the latest in a number of unwelcome additions to building in the area.
