Older People’s Day Celebration 2025!

GRAYS-based Arts Outburst has announced its Older People's Day Celebration 2025, a free community event designed to bring joy, connection, and support to local residents and their families.

The celebration will take place on Wednesday, 1 October, from 12noon to 4pm at the Arts Outburst Studios in the Thameside Complex on Orsett Road in Grays.

The afternoon will feature a lively programme including bingo, social activities, Zumba Gold taster sessions and a special free performance of Grandma's Shop by Applause. Guests will also be treated to a complimentary afternoon tea, offering the perfect chance to relax and share laughs with friends old and new .

A wide range of local organisations will be present to provide useful information, advice, and support for older people and their families, making the event both enjoyable and practical .

Stephen Pemble, Project Manager at Arts Outburst, said: "We're so excited to be welcoming older people to Arts Outburst for this special afternoon.

"It's going to be a great chance to come together, enjoy a game of bingo with plenty of laughs, and of course, share a delicious afternoon tea.

"We can't wait to see everyone and spend time celebrating with our community – we're really looking forward to having you with us."
