GRAYS war memorial has three new visitors in the build-up to the coming Remembrance Weekend and civic service on Sunday, 14 November.

Three figures representing the armed services have been crocheted by Grays resident and Royal British Legion supporter Sabine Oakley and have been placed by the memorial as a reminder of the service and to promote the annual Poppy Appeal.

Earlier this week Thurrock Nub News reported on the efforts of the Needles and Chat group in Grays, who have also been busy with their needles in support of the Poppy Appeal.
