FOLLOWING the closure of Thurrock's Adult Community College in Grays, courses are being spread around the borough and information is being shared at a number of regional events.

One takes place in Aveley next week.

On Wednesday, 15 September the Aveley Community Hub at the Recreation Ground off the town's High Street (RM15 4BY) will host and open event about adult education and family learning.

It will be an opportunity to find out about new adult education qualification and skills classes plus Family Learning sessions starting soon at the hub.

Organisers say it will include fun activities to keep the little ones engaged while you discover opportunities to retrain or upskill, improve digital skills or learn English or maths skills plus much more! It is free to attend and refreshments will provided.

You can also find out information via the college's website where a search facility allow you to locate courses in your area.
