Ormiston celebrates achievements and looks to the future with optimism

Students at Ormiston Park Academy in Aveley received their GCSE results today (Thursday, 22 August), marking a significant milestone in their academic journey.

Principal Munira Said expressed her pride in the students' accomplishments, saying: "Seeing our students succeed in their GCSEs is incredibly rewarding.

"These Year 11 students have shown extraordinary determination, and today we celebrate their hard-earned achievements.

"Their success is a testament to their hard work, and I have no doubt that they will continue to excel in their future endeavours.

"We look forward to seeing the incredible things they will achieve next." 

A statement from the school added that its students have demonstrated 'remarkable resilience and dedication during their secondary school years'.

Among individual achivements highlighted is the performance of Millie Carter who made excellent progress, achieving grade 8s in English literature, English language and history. Millie also secured grade 7s in her other GCSE subjects and is looking forward to joining a dance college to pursue her dreams. 

Seyana Kamaladas has also been commended for achieving four grade 8s in the sciences, mathematics and English literature. She also gained two grade 7s, as well as achieving good grades in business studies and history.

Ana-Maria Gobjila, Liam Sharkey, Logan Delem and Aiza Memon also achieved grades 7 and 8 in their subjects.

The school statement added: "The excellent results across the different subjects demonstrates the hard work and determination of the students at Ormiston Park Academy.

"The results celebrated today are also testament to Ormiston Park Academy fostering an environment where every student can achieve their full potential. By offering a challenging curriculum and enriching experiences both inside and outside the classroom, the academy ensures that all students have the tools and opportunities to succeed."
