Park will play host to vintage cycling event

By Neil Speight   30th Aug 2022

A WHEELY special event will take place next month when Thurrock's Vintage/Tweed Bike Ride returns after a successful inaugural event last year.

Thurrock Council's Road Safety Cycling Team are organising the event and it will be based from Stanford-le-Hope's Hardie Park.

The event takes place on Sunday, 11 September.

The park's cafe will be open from 10am and the event starts at 1pm.

Meanwhile the Friends of Hardie Park are looking for a project manager for the park. The job is part-time – two or three days per week initially on a six month fixed term contract

The project manager will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations across the various elements of the Hardie Park project.
