Paula is honoured for her efforts

A VOLUNTEER working for Thurrock's Re-engage charity has been honoured by the charity nationally.

A statement from the local group, which offers support to lonely and vulnerable people living on their own, says: "We are delighted to announce that our lovely Volunteer Group Coordinator, Paula Mullooly, has received an unsung 'Hidden Heroes Award' by Re-engage.

"Paula has been recognised for her outstanding, selfless contribution and commitment to volunteering.

"Paula's exceptional contribution, dedication and inspirational impact on others has made life less lonely for older people.

"Paula's amazing caring and kindness has made such a difference to the lives of our Thurrock tea party guests. We are all so delighted that Paula has won this wonderful award, it is so well deserved.

"We are all so very proud of you."
