A RENOWNED borough college building is up for sale – with a price tag of more thn £5 million.

It's part of a business reorganisation by Corringham-based Performers College which is seeking to sell its site on Southend Road - then lease it back.

The college management, BIMM University Limited which also operates sites in Birmingham, Brighton and Manchester, wants to take out a 20 or 25 full repairing lease with potential buyers, who can expect to generate significant profit over the liftime of that deal.

Performers College is a nationally recognised, independent performing arts college with more than 30 years of experience training the next generation of performers. The campus totals 3.25 acres featuring 18 dance studios, 2 acting studios, singing suite, lecture hall, library/computer centre, gym, café/restaurant and 190 car parking spaces.

The College became part of BIMM University in 2019 and opened a second campus in Birmingham in 2021. In 2024 Performers merged with the Institute for Contemporary Theatre, expanding into Brighton and Manchester.

Many former students at Performers have become regulars in West End theatre, members of dance companies and have leading roles in other areas of the entertainments industry.
