Petrol attack at borough home

OFFICERS want to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage, doorbell footage or information about an incident in South Ockendon when a house was targeted with a 'petrol attack'.

Officers were called at about 2pm on Tuesday, 29 August to reports of an attempted arson at an address in Chapel Court.

It has been reported that petrol was poured into the garden and set alight.

Following police enquiries and an ongoing investigation, officers have arrested two people in connection with the incident.

A police statement says: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.

"Please quote incident 633 of Tuesday 29 August.

"You can let us know by submitting a report on our website or by using our online Live Chat service available Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 10am-9pm.

 "Visit www.essex.police.uk/digital101 to find out more about our website reporting services.

 "Alternatively you can call us on 101.
