Pickers are the ready - community is getting together to make a difference in South ockendon

LITTERPICKERS in South Ockendon will be busy again this weekend with the latest in their series of clean-ups in the local community.
The Friends of Bonnygate Park pick will take place on Saturday, 7 March, for an hour starting at 10.30am.
It will be followed by similar picks in the park, on Daiglan Drive and Annifer Way, on the first Saturday in May and June.
On Saturday, 4 April the litter pick will be organised in the park to mark the Great British Spring Clean.
A spokesperson for the Friends said: "Everyone is welcome to attend and join in as we look to tidy up our community and open spaces together.
"Litter picks, gloves and bags will be provided - we look forward to seeing you!"
