THE search is on for performers to take part in a charity fundraising event to be held later this year.

Joanne Nyland-Fink, director of Starmakers Academy and Starmakers Voices Community Choir is looking for performers for a fourth charity night to be held at The Old Regent Ballroom in Stanford-le-Hope.

Joanne's previous events have raised almost for deserving charities.

This year the chosen charities are Katie's Heart Appeal and Youngminds.

Both charities are close to Joanne's heart, Katie's Heart Appeal have been responsible for raising funds to ensure there are defibrillators around the Thurrock Area, and Youngminds is a charity that helps support young people with mental health challenges.

Joanne says: "The Old Regent Ballroom have very again very kindly offered the venue free of charge, and this is an outstanding venue, and all previous performers have enjoyed performing on this amazing stage.

"We are looking for performers/singers aged 16 and over to perform at this event, they must be prepared to send in an audition video, and songs must be upbeat."

She added that though there will be a number of returning performers from previous years, many who have gained confidence by performing, 'it would be good to get some exciting new faces on the stage'.

She concluded: "We are also looking for local companies who would like to donate to the raffle or prizes for the auction. These are to amazing charities that really deserve some additional funding."

If you would like to perform, purchase tickets, or donate prizes or money towards this event contact Joanne on 07807 336443.
