THURROCK Police have been celebrating some successes in a campaign against flytippers in the borough.

Members of the local division have been working with Thurrock council officers in a new partnership operation which got underway over the weekend.

On the first evening of the operation officers issued two tickets for no insurance and eight tickets for fly tipping related matters. They also reported one driver for driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and seized a vehicle for having no insurance.
