Police ask for help to find missing man

Update: Man has been found safe and well:

POLICE issued an appeal for information as they tried to find a missing man, who may be in Thurrock.

Peter Lazar, 46, who is missing from Basildon, has links to Grays and was last seen shortly before 5pm yesterday (Wednesday, 16 June).

He is white, about 5ft 8ins tall and of stocky build. He has short, black hair and was last known to be wearing a green and beige T-shirt, green shorts and green sandals.

A statement from Essex police says: "We would like to make contact with him to make sure he is OK. Anyone who has seen Peter or knows where he is should contact us on 101."

Early on Thursday morning it was announced he had been located.
