MET Police officers deliberately crashed into a vehicle to stop it as it was being driven the wrong way on the A13.

The incident happened in the early hours of last Friday (13 May) between Barking and Dagenham, near the Lodge Avenue Junction.

The vehicle, a Ford Kuga, had been stolen and officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's road and transport section pursued the driver who drove towards oncoming traffic. To bring the motorist to a stop, Met Police officers tactically crashed into the car to bring the chase to a halt.

Two people were arrested.
