POLICE are appealing for information after a woman injured in a collision in a popular store car park area last month, died in hospital.

Many shoppers and visitors to the Tesco Extra stores witnessed the incident when vehicles were involved in the collision in the car park area at the site in Pitsea under the A13 at around 10.30am on Friday, 21 August.

A passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of the medical team has since died.

A police statement said: "No arrests have been made and our investigation is ongoing.

"We want to hear from anyone with dashcam footage or who saw anything in the area at the time of the collision. Please get in touch quoting 42/148017/26
