Man found after police issued plea for assistance

POLICE who called for help as they sought to track down a man missing from Stanford-le-Hope have said the 68-year-old has been safely located.

Initially they said: "He may have travelled through London to Dorset, but we need to find him to make sure he's okay.

"If you've seen him, are with him, or have any information about where he is, please call 999 quoting incident 949 of 1 October.
