Police join council team in Ockendon crackdown

POLICE stepped out alongside Thurrock Council Trading Standards officers in South Ockendon where the result of inspections at local shops was seizure of illegal tobacco products, out-of-date food and unsafe children's toys.

Thurrock Police's neighbourhood team said: "Working alongside Trading Standards officers and their specialist search dogs, Grace and Milo, we visited a number of shops in Derwent Parade and Aire Drive.

"As well as taking unsafe and illegal goods off the streets, officers spoke with residents about issues affecting their communities, including concerns around the use of e-scooters."
