Police patrols recover three stolen vehicles in Tilbury

A PURGE by police in Tilbury ended in the recovery of three stolen veheicles.

Officers from the Community Policing Team patrols in the town as part of Operation Sculptor, a specific operation created to tackle vehicle crime with the use of intelligence-led patrols.

While in the Tilbury area, officers received information of a tracker activation for a Stolen Yamaha bike from the London area.

The team conducted area searches and successfully located the stolen vehicle.

Officers also located a white Ford Transit, which appeared to have damage to one of its doors. Thorough checks revealed this vehicle was also stolen, taken just a few days before, in the early hours of the morning on Saturday 8 June from the Southend area.

Officers continued their patrols in Tilbury and managed to locate yet another stolen vehicle. A Ford Fiesta, stolen from the Billericay area which had been stolen on Thursday 6 June.

All three vehicles were seized and recovered!
