Police raid uncovers cannabis growing at borough home

POLICE have released details of a raid on a home in Chafford Hundred where a cannabis-growing operation was discovered.
A statement says: "On Thursday, 20 November, your neighbourhood officers executed a warrant at an address in Chafford Hundred and discovered a bedroom locked with a padlock containing over 30 cannabis plants.
"Two people were arrested, interviewed and released under investigation while enquiries continue.
"Cannabis production isn't just illegal — it brings real risks to our neighbourhoods, including fire hazards and links to organised crime.
"We want to reassure you that tackling drug-related crime remains a priority for us. We'll continue working hard to keep Thurrock safe, and your information plays a vital role in that effort.
