POLICE officers in Thurrock acted fast after a HGV and trailer were stolen from Grays in the early hours of Friday (21 November) morning.
Thanks to some information received and teamwork, officers located the HGV in the Tilbury area within hours.
Further enquiries led officers to a local warehouse, where officers were able to secure a warrant to gain entry.
Following the warrant, officers found and recovered the stolen trailer along with £300,000 worth of televisions. All items have now been returned to their rightful owners.
A statement from Essex Police says: "This result shows how strong teamwork across our local and neighbourhood policing teams can make a real difference in communities, and on this occasion, recover stolen property quickly!
"If you spot suspicious activity, report it via 101 or online – your information matters!"
